The City of Duarte, in partnership with Burrtec Waste Industries, invites residents to take part in the Burrtec Community Clean-Up, Shred & Compost Event on Saturday, May 2 from 8 AM - 2 PM at the Duarte Civic Center Parking Lot (1600 Huntington Drive).

This free event provides Duarte residents with a convenient opportunity to dispose of bulky household items, residential construction and demolition debris, electronic waste, and old documents for secure shredding. Compost materials will also be accepted but residents are encouraged to arrive with a suitable vehicle or container for transport. Shovels will be available on site.

In addition to clean-up services, the City of Duarte will distribute used oil containers and funnels for residents who wish to safely recycle their motor oil. Information about proper used oil disposal is available on the City of Duarte’s Oil Recycling webpage.

Please note that tires, commercial or business waste, and household hazardous waste will not be accepted at this event. Residents seeking guidance on disposing of household hazardous waste may visit the Clean LA website for more information and to view a collection schedule.

Participation is limited to Duarte residents only, and identification will be required at the event.
