The City of Duarte is pleased to announce that construction is underway on the Donald and Bernice Watson Multi-Use Pathway Improvement Project. This improvement project will enhance the trail's safety, accessibility, and overall user experience.
Trail users may experience temporary detours and construction-related activity during the project. The City appreciates the community’s patience and cooperation as these improvements are completed and looks forward to delivering a safer, more accessible, and enhanced recreational space for everyone.
Improvements will include resurfacing the existing asphalt pathway, updated striping and signage, and security lighting. Accessibility upgrades, such as ADA-compliant ramps and crosswalk improvements, will also be incorporated. In addition, the project will introduce new amenities, including rest areas, themed elements, and drought-tolerant landscaping to enhance the overall trail experience.
