Duarte City Hall is sporting a refreshed exterior following the completion of a major improvement project designed to enhance the building’s appearance, functionality, and longevity. The Duarte City Hall Exterior Refresh Project included extensive upgrades to the building’s exterior, replacing aging materials and introducing new architectural features while maintaining the character of the Civic Center.

Improvements included the removal and replacement of the building’s wood plank siding and soffits with a new Parklex Prodema siding and soffit system, along with the installation of new metal fascia, a concealed rain gutter system, updated soffit lighting, and illuminated building signage. Various exterior building elements were also painted and refurbished as part of the project.

The Duarte City Council awarded the construction contract for the project in April 2025, and construction began later that year. Beyond giving City Hall a renewed and more modern appearance, the improvements help protect the facility and extend the useful life of a building that serves as a central location for City services, public meetings, and community business. The completed project is also helping inform the City’s approach to future improvements throughout the Civic Center as Duarte continues investing in its public facilities.
