The City of Duarte is excited to announce the launch of its Pre-Approved ADU Program, designed to make it easier and faster for homeowners to build Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs)

This new program offers pre-approved ADU plans that have already been reviewed and approved by the City’s Building and Safety Division. By using these standard plans, homeowners can significantly reduce both the design and permitting timelines—saving time and simplifying the process. 

Please note: To maintain the benefits of expedited review, modifications or customizations to the standard plans are not permitted, regardless of how minor the changes may be.
