Councilmember, Represents District 6

Cesar A. Garcia was appointed by the City Council to fill the District 6 vacancy in December 2021 and was elected in 2022. Mr. Garcia is a proud graduate of Duarte High School. His family's roots in the city go back to 1979 when his grandparents purchased their first home in Duarte. He is currently attending Azusa Pacific University and is pursuing a degree in Psychology.

Mr. Garcia has a deep connection to the Duarte community, inspired by his positive experiences growing up in the city. He is committed to giving back and serving the residents of Duarte, particularly its youth, seniors, and families. In addition to his role as a City Councilmember, he serves on the Foothill Transit Governing Board and is an active member of the Duarte Kiwanis Club.

Mr. Garcia values teamwork and strives to serve the community with confidence, pride, respect, and responsibility.
