Councilmember, Represents District 2
Martin Calderon, a proud graduate of Duarte High School and California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, serves as a dedicated member of the Duarte City Council representing District 2.
With deep roots in the city he has called home for over two decades, Calderon is a passionate advocate for youth and the arts and for fostering a more inclusive community for all residents.
Before his election to the City Council, Calderon demonstrated his commitment to public service through various leadership roles. He served as a Duarte Public Safety City Commissioner, where he worked to enhance the safety and well-being of the community. As a Youth and Family Committee member, he focused on programs and initiatives to support local families and empower the city's younger generations. Additionally, his involvement in the Arts Ad Hoc Committee reflects his dedication to enriching Duarte's cultural landscape and promoting creative opportunities for residents.
Calderon's vision for Duarte is shaped by his belief in creating a city that uplifts everyone, regardless of background or circumstance. Advocating for policies championing equity, economic development and inclusion, Calderon strives to ensure Duarte remains a vibrant and welcoming place for all.
